Helping mission-driven organizations navigate complexity with clarity, partnership, and purpose.
Rex Delos Santos is the Founder and Principal of KASAMA Consulting, a boutique executive advisory firm that helps mission-driven organizations secure competitive funding, strengthen operations, and build sustainable organizational capacity.
Over the past 13 years, Rex has built a multidisciplinary career across nonprofit leadership, higher education, finance, compliance, and federally funded programs. That experience has shaped how he approaches the work today: bringing people, systems, and strategy together to help organizations navigate complexity and move important priorities forward.
Prior to founding KASAMA, Rex served as Senior Manager of Federal Grants at the KIPP Foundation, where he managed more than $174 million in federal funding across a national network serving more than 120,000 students. His work sat at the intersection of program implementation, financial stewardship, compliance, and organizational strategy.
Earlier in his career, Rex held roles across finance, operations, compliance, and business development at UCLA, overseeing multimillion-dollar portfolios spanning sponsored research, grants and contracts, philanthropy, and institutional operations. He also served on the UCLA Staff Assembly Executive Board and was a founding board member of the UCLA Asian & Pacific Islander Faculty & Staff Association.
Today, Rex brings those experiences together through KASAMA. Rather than advising from the sidelines, he works alongside leadership teams to solve complex funding and operational challenges, strengthen organizational systems, and build capacity that lasts beyond the engagement.
