Helping mission-driven organizations navigate complexity with clarity, partnership, and purpose.
Rex Delos Santos is the Founder and Principal of KASAMA Consulting, a boutique executive advisory firm that helps mission-driven organizations secure competitive funding, strengthen operations, and build sustainable organizational capacity.
Over the past 13 years, Rex has built a multidisciplinary career spanning nonprofit leadership, higher education, finance, compliance, and federally funded programs. His experience ranges from proposal development and grant implementation to operational leadership, financial stewardship, and organizational strategy. Regardless of the engagement, his focus remains the same: helping organizations align people, systems, and strategy to achieve meaningful, lasting results.
Prior to founding KASAMA, Rex served as Senior Manager of Federal Grants at the KIPP Foundation, where he managed a federal portfolio exceeding $165 million across a national network serving more than 120,000 students. His work supported the expansion of KIPP's national impact through strategic implementation, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, and performance management.
Earlier in his career, Rex held leadership roles in finance, business operations, compliance, and business development at UCLA, overseeing multimillion-dollar portfolios spanning sponsored research, grants and contracts, philanthropy, and institutional operations. He also served on the Executive Board of UCLA Staff Assembly and was a founding board member of the UCLA Asian & Pacific Islander Faculty & Staff Association, experiences that reinforced his commitment to collaborative leadership and community engagement.
Today, Rex brings those experiences together through KASAMA. Rather than providing recommendations from the sidelines, he partners closely with leadership teams to solve complex operational and funding challenges, strengthen organizational systems, and build capacity that endures long after an engagement concludes.
